Crossman was the daughter of Dr. Wayne Crossman and Ruth Paine Crossman of Shelton. She grew up in Trumbull, and graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1986. She was a resident of Fairfield for many years before recently moving to Shelton. She graduated cum laude from Johnson & Wales University in 1990. Receiving her degree in Hospitality, she worked for the school for a few years. Briefly working in Florida, she returned to Connecticut and managed a restaurant in Foxwood Resorts, and was employed by Stamford Tent Company for a number of years. Most recently she worked at local restaurants in Westport, Norwalk and Trumbull. She was a member of the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island, Fla.
Crossman is survived by her mother, Ruth; brother, Grant Crossman of Southbridge, Mass.; a niece; aunt, Joan Cashman of Brockton, Mass.; cousins; and several friends. She was predeceased by her father, Wayne; sister, Erica Crossman; uncle, Donald Cashman; and cousin, Sheila Cashman.
Calling hours are Sunday, March 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Deacon John Moranski officiating. Interment will be private.
