FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Kathryn Whitaker Austin of Fairfield died Sept. 10. She was 67.
Austin was born May 2, 1946, to Henry and Barbara Whitaker of Stratford. She was a graduate of Bunnell High School and received her Bachelor Degree from Nasson College in Maine. She retired from the Aspetuck Country Club after 28 years as a waitress and bartender.
Austin is survived by brother, John Whitaker (Karen) of Long Beach, Calif.; step-brothers, David Lornie of Sharon and George Lornie (Sharon) of Shelton; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Glenn Austin.
Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. from 4 to 7 p.m. Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
