FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Julian R. Gonzalez, a longtime resident of Fairfield, died Sept. 19. He was 94.
Gonzalez was born July 9, 1919, in Havana, Cuba, son of Genaro Gonzalez and Esperanza R. Gonzalez. He retired as a machinist with Jenkins Valves after working for 35 years.
Gonzalez is survived by his daughter, Elanor M. Gonzalez of Fairfield; brother, Evelio Gonzalez of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Angelita M. Gonzalez; and sister, Leonor Bahamonde.
There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Gonzalez.
