Joseph Peter Cirella, 50, Former Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Joseph Peter Cirella, of West Haven and a former resident of Fairfield, died Sunday at the West Haven Veterans Hospital.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at The Holy Family Church in Fairfield. Interment with military honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.

Cirella's family asks that memorial donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or online at woundedwarriorproject.org.
