Miller was born July 31, 1933, in Albany, N.Y., son of Charles H. and Anna (Walsdorf) Miller and has been a Shelton resident for the past 17 years, coming from Fairfield. He was an engineer for Normag and formerly for Dictaphone and Philips before his retirement.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church and was active in many of the church's activities. He was a 2nd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bernardo Council #1350 in Shelton. He volunteered his time at Griffin Hospital and Spooner House.
Miller is survived by his wife, Mary (Coons) Miller; children, Kathy Pacelli (Jerry), Joan Northrup (Charles), Anne Landino (Richard), Diane Rak (David), Douglas Miller (Adrienne); 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles, William, Henry and Donald Miller; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Sunday, June 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. The funeral will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday, July 1 to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
