Joan Kemp Seeber, 84, Longtime Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Joan Kemp Seeber, the loving and devoted mother of Kemp, Dede and Louise, passed away after a long illness July 6, 2015.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband David Livingstone Seeber in 1991, and her son-in-law David Parker Boyd in 1998.

She is survived by her three children, Edward Kemp Seeber and his wife Julia of Stratford, Dede Seeber Boyd and her fiancé Doug Stone of Madison and New York City, and Louise Seeber Scrivines and her husband David of Fairfield. In addition, Joan leaves her four grandchildren, who were dear to her heart, Caroline Parker Boyd, Molly Taylor Boyd, David Paxton Seeber and Andrew Seeber Boyd.

A longtime resident of Fairfield, Seeber was born in Bridgeport on April 11, 1931. She was the only child of the late Dr. Edward Phillip Kemp and the late Mary Louise O'Brien Kemp.

She graduated from the Thomas School in Rowayton, and from Wheelock College in Boston.

A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m.Monday, August 3 in St Anthony of Padua Church, 149 S. Pine Creek Road, Fairfield, with Father John Baran officiating. Her entombment in Mountain Grove Mausoleum will be private.
