He was born and raised in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, to the late Antonio and Carmen Ramos. He moved to Bridgeport in 1953, where he had many jobs in the Bridgeport area, including a company driver for Goya and a construction and foundry worker for E&F Construction. He also owned small grocery stores at different times and locations. His last job before retirement was as a mold shop foreman for General Electric in Bridgeport. He was a handyman with a talent for handling various “fix-it” type jobs around the house and yard, his own as well as others. He loved baseball and was a devoted New York Yankees fan. Jesus was a dedicated family man and his favorite pastime was enjoying a good meal with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Herminia, he is survived by a son, Kenneth Ramos; two daughters, Lisa Ramos Gerbasi and Mary Lou Ramos; four grandchildren, Matthew Ramos, Kyle Ramos, Kelly Ramos and Julia Gerbasi; and one great-granddaughter, Jocelyn Ramos.
He was predeceased by his son, Paul Ramos.
A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Saint Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull.
The Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport has been entrusted with the arrangements.
