ID Released For Man Found Floating Face Down On Long Island Sound

The identity has been released for a man found floating face down in the Pond Point area of Milford on Friday afternoon.

Early Saturday morning, Milford Police said 57-year-old Gregory Wilson, who most recently resided in Milford, was the drowning victim.

Wilson died early Friday evening, several hours after being pulled from the waters of the Long Island Sound near Platt Street.

He had reportedly been seen swimming in the area before he was seen floating in the water around 3 p.m.
