FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Gunther Stile of Fairfield died Monday, Nov. 3. He was 87.
Stile was born in Berlin, Germany, to Mary and Arnold Stile. He was part of the Kinder train and spent his youth in England. Upon arriving in America, he was reunited with his parents and sister, Ruth Steinhauer. He served in the Army and was stationed in Panama. He was a longtime member of Congregation B'nai Israel.
Stile is survived by his wife, Joy; daughters, Wendy (Joe) Valentine of Ocala, Fla., and Twody (Bob) Schless of Trumbull; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Services will held Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 12 p.m. directly at B'nai Israel Cemetery on Kings Highway in Fairfield.
