Elsbeth Ulmer Roos, 79, Lifetime Fairfield Resident, Longtime Waitress

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Elsbeth Ulmer Roos of Fairfield died April 6. She was 79.

Roos was born April 18, 1933, in Switzerland. She came to the United States as a youth, and has been a resident of Fairfield for most of her life. She was a longtime waitress for Penny's Diner.

Roos is survived by her husband, Martin; her children, Perry Roos (Eileen), of Milford, Debbie Roos, of Fairfield; six grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Selma Ulmer; and brother, Mandi Ulmer.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, Preplanning, and Cremation Services, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with a prayer service to be officiated at 7:15 p.m. by Father William Sangiovanni. Her interment will be private.
