FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Elizabeth Demeter Lasky, 102, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, April 22.
She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Nagy Demeter of Bridgeport.
Lasky started working in factories at the age of 15. She was employed by several local factories and retail stores, and retired from Fairfield public schools.
Survivors include one son, Roger Lasky of Fairfield; one sister-in-law, Rose Demeter of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Lasky; two brothers, Joseph and John Demeter; and two sisters, Patricia Drought and Ethel Dobos.
Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25, at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield.
Funeral services will begin at noon Saturday, with the Rev. Susan Pfeil officiating.
Burial will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
