Born Feb. 14, 1951, in Stamford, Bocchiere moved to Fairfield as a child. She graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1969. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail clerk in Stamford, Bridgeport and Trumbull.
Bocchiere enjoyed traveling the country by car with her family, visiting 45 states and Canada. An animal lover, she assisted her husband in the leadership of the Beardsley Zoo 4-H Club for 11 years. She also was an avid country music fan.
Bocchiere is survived by her husband, Larry; a son, Lawrence; a daughter, Terra; a brother, John Krankall, of Michigan; a sister, Barbara (Pat) Nastri, of Florida; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Steven and Dennis Clifford; and an infant daughter, Tracy.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Lesko and Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield Center, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
