FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Christopher Demas died Tuesday, April 30. He was 79.
Demas was born in Bridgeport to Michael and Persephone Demas. He graduated from high school and then served in the U.S. Navy. He originally worked as an in-house artist with the Famous Artist School in Westport; then worked as a liquor salesman for Reliable Liquor Distributors in the 1970s. He moved to California in 1977 and worked in the movie field supplying extras to work in famous movies.
Demas is survived by his son, Craig Demas of Fairfield; his daughter, Michelle Demas of Trumbull; his brother, Gus (Marian) Demas; his brother-in-law, Walter Beck; three granddaughters; one great grandson; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Nick; and sister, Mary Beck.
Calling hours are from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 3 prior to the service. Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center. Interment is private.
Donations may be made in Demas’s memory in care of the funeral home.
