Chalker was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Bridgeport, son of Peter and Olga Somogie Chalker. He was a Fairfield resident for most of his life. He had worked for Sacred Heart University from which he retired.
Chalker is survived by his son, John C. Chalker of Waterbury; siblings, Peter Chalker (Elizabeth) of Harwinton and Joyce Gentile (John) of Bridgeport; aunt, Adele Dion of Oxford; nieces and nephews; many grand nieces, grand nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 6 at 11a.m. directly at St. Andrew's Church, Anton St., Bridgeport with interment to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
