FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Assunta (Michelina Renzulli) Cotone Manca of Fairfield died Saturday, May 4. She was 87.
Manca was born in San Michele, di Serino, Italy, to Emilio and Carmela Renzulli. She came to the United States after her marriage.
Manca is survived by her daughters, Angelina Valentino of Fairfield and Rose Leggo of Ansonia; son, Salvatore (Debbie) Manca of Georgia; brother, Salvatore Renzulli of Italy; sister, Delfina Gallifoco of Fairfiled; eight grandchildren; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Antonio Manca; her first husband, Ettore Cotone; son-in-law, John Valentino; brothers, Annible Renzulli, Liberato Renzulli, and Alessandro Renzulli; and sister. Giuseppina Festa.
Calling hours are Tuesday, May 7 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 8 at the funeral home.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Entombment to follow in St. Thomas Mausoleum.
