Dostie was born Aug. 10, 1960, in Quebec, Canada, to Reina Poulin Dostie of Canada and Edouard Dostie. He was a self-employed subcontractor.
Dostie is survived by his mother, Reina; wife, Janis; son, Cory Hale of Stratford; brothers, Daniel Dostie and Clement Dostie; sister, Julie Dostie; a goddaughter; many nieces, nephews; and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Edouard.
Calling hours are Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Prayer Services will take place at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
