Antoinette 'Annie' DeLibero, 93, Fairfield Resident

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Antoinette "Annie" Conte DeLibero -- a Fairfield resident, formerly of Trumbull and Bridgeport -- died on Saturday, Feb. 13. She was 93.

Born in Bridgeport, she was a longtime Bridgeport resident. She moved to Trumbull in 1985, where she lived with her sister, Teresa, until she entered The Jewish Home in 2010. DeLibero graduated from the Butler Business School, in Bridgeport. She worked as an administrative secretary at Bryant Electric, which became part of Westinghouse Electric, in Bridgeport, until her retirement.

She was devoted to her sister and brother and often helped them on weekends and holidays in their business, Conte's Liquor Store, in Bridgeport. DeLibero loved clowns and had a large collection. She also loved flower arranging, decorating her home, and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

DeLibero is survived by her brother, Carlo Conte of Trumbull; niece Frances Potocky and her husband Clifford of Huntington and their children, Christopher, Terra and Chad; nephew Henry Conte and his wife Marcie and their children, Erika, and Patrick of Huntington; nephew Stephen Conte and his wife Gretchen and their children, Anthony, Ryan and Nicholas; nephew Brian Beregszazy; Lynne Schroeder and her husband Dan of Port Crane, New York, and Brian Beregszazy and his wife Becky Beregszazy of Chesapeake, Virginia; great-great-nieces and -nephews; and many cousins, friends and relatives in Italy.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Concetta (Tartaglia) Conte; sister Teresa Conte; brother-in-law Anthony Conte; sister-in-law Louise Conte; and niece Rosemary Beregszazy.

Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, in Monroe. A funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main St., in Trumbull, with burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1530 Brownson Rd., in Fairfield.
