Ann Marie Buckley, 74, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Ann Marie MacGregor Buckley of Fairfield died Aug. 19 at her home, surrounded by family. She was 74. 

Born and raised in Green Island, N.Y., Buckley lived in Boston and Cincinnati throughout her husband's career with General Electric. They later made their home in Fairfield. Buckley enjoyed skiing at her family's vacation home in Beaver Creek, Colo., and traveling the world.  

She maintained many friendships with members of Black Rock Yacht Club, Vail 50 Club and St. Pius X Church. She was a supporter of the Running Strong for American Indian Youth.

Buckley is survived by five sons, Michael (Maria) Buckley, of Needham, Mass., Christopher (Dorothy) Buckley, of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Jonathan (Kathleen) Buckley, of Fairfield, Timothy (Susan) Buckley, of Bryn Mawr, Pa., Jeffrey (Andrea) Buckley, of Orange, Conn.; 16 grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ann MacGregor; a niece and many friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, A. Lawrence "Larry" Buckley; her parents, Donald and Nan Boudreau MacGregor; a brother, Robert MacGregor; and a grandson, Jonathan. 

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lesko and Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Church in Fairfield. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
