Ann Bradley Anderson, 85, Of Fairfield, Worked For Sears

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Ann Bradley Anderson of Fairfield died May 20. She was 85.

Anderson was born in Bridgeport, to Robert F. and Grace Hyde Bradley. She graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. She attended the University of Colorado and graduated from the Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston. She was employed by Sears for over 20 years in Bridgeport, Cincinnati, Ohio and Rockford, Ill.

She was a deaconess emerita in the First Church Congregational in Fairfield. She was a 50 year member of the Eunice Dennie Burr chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served on the board for several years. She was also a former board member of the Southport Women's Club, Church Women United, AARP Chapter 1861 and the Fanny Crosby Home. She was a member of the Black Rock Yacht Club, the Scandanavian Club and a former member of the Contemporary Club.

Anderson is survived by her husband, George H. Anderson; children, Bradford (Deborah) of East Sandwich, Mass., Roy of Boston, Mass., and Nancy Tyler; son-in law, Tom; a granddaughter; sister, Constance Bradley of Waltham, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Dr. Robert F. Bradley (Betty); and sister, Elizabeth Kendall (Henry).

There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 24 at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield. Burial will be private in OakLawn Cemetery, Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road in Fairfield, CT 06824.
