Way was born June 13, 1975, in Bridgeport. She grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Andrew Warde High School. She then attended Whittier College in California and Ithaca College in Crete, Greece, where she studied architecture, anthropology and archeology. She also studied at the New York School of Interior Design in New York City. She worked as a project manager for several years for Mark P Finlay Architects and Raymond Forehand Associates in Fairfield. She also volunteered at Hospice Care of Fairfield.
Way is survived by her husband, Craig; father, Peter Ambrose (Irene) of Fairfield; mother, Linda Hill (Rich) of Woodbury; brothers, Peter Ambrose of Alaska and Matthew Ambrose (Anita) of Fairfield; numerous aunts, uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Carol Way of Fairfield, and Paul Way of Naples, Fla.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, in Fairfield.
