Warmer Than Average Fall Temps Projected For Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Tuesday may be the first day of fall, but the National Weather Service is forecasting warmer than average temperatures for Fairfield County and the rest of the Northeast over the next three months.

Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to reach the low 70s, with mostly sunny skies.

Scattered showers could threaten the area after 10 p.m. Wednesday and through most of the day on Thursday. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunny skies and those warmer than average temperatures will return Friday with highs expected to reach into the upper 70s.
