A multi-vehicle accident on I-95 southbound in Norwalk closed the left and center lanes between Exits 16 and 15. The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m.
Traffic was crawling on I-95 northbound from Westport to Bridgeport, although no recent accidents have been reported on the Connecticut Department of Transportation's traffic incidents website.
The northbound drive on the Merritt was even worse, with delays extending from New Canaan up to Milford, a distance of nearly 20 miles. There were no accidents reported as of 5 p.m. on the Merritt.
