Roadwork On Route 59 In Fairfield Continues

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The state will be working on resurfacing a portion of Route 59 from Cornell Road in Fairfield to Route 1 in Bridgeport through Friday, Sept. 6.

Work for this project should last from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, officials say. Paving this section of the road is tentatively scheduled to begin Tuesday, Sept. 10, ending Friday, Sept. 13.

Drivers should expect lane closures on Route 59 and traffic control personnel and signs through the work zone.  

Weather delays or other unforeseen conditions can cause the schedule to change.
