Overturned Vehicle Cleared From Lane Of Merritt In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- An accident involving an overturned motor vehicle is slowing traffic on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield.

The accident occurred Tuesday morning on the northbound side of the Merritt between Exits 42 and 44, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported.

The right lane is closed, DOT said.

It is not clear how long it will take to clear the scene.
