News 12: Justin Hervey, Burned In Fairfield Car Fire, Has Died

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Justin Hervey, the Armonk, N.Y., man who was severely burned when his truck burst into flames in Fairfield in September, has died of his injuries, News 12 is reporting

News 12 reports that it confirmed the Feb, 27 death with the Bridgeport hospital where Hervey had been undergoing treatment for the past six months. 

Hervey, a Fairfield University student and graduate of Armonk's Byram Hills High School, was parked in his Chevrolet Tahoe at Tunxis Hill park Sept. 6 when the vehicle caught fire. Witnesses said Hervey was engulfed in flames when he got out of the truck. 

A Little League practice was under way when the fire occurred.
