A 36-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash late Wednesday night on the Litchfield Turnpike (Route 69) in Bethany, state police said Thursday morning.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Hatfield Road.
Adam Corcoran of Waterbury, who suffered serious injuries and was later was pronounced dead at Yale New Haven Hospital.
A passenger in the 2001 Honda CBR900RR, Kori Corcoran of Naugatuck, was not injured.
Route 69 was closed for several hours during the accident investigation.
