The 2:08 p.m. train from Grand Central Station was stopped in Southport after it lost power, Metro-North said. That train was now moving, but the trains behind it were seeing residual delays, officials said.

The 2:27 p.m. train from New Haven was letting off passengers in Bridgeport when it lost power, Metro-North said. Buses were arranged to accommodate the passengers on that train, officials said. The 2:45 p.m. train from New Haven was also delayed by the stopped train, officials said.

The 2:27 and 2:45 p.m. trains were being moved to different tracks so that later trains can use the rails, Metro-North said.

New Haven Line service is delayed, especially between Greens Farms and Bridgeport, due to overhead wire damage in the vicinity of Greens Farms, Metro-North said on its website.

Train riders should expect some delays and should listen for announcements at their stations.
