FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – McDonald’s released a revamped Hamburglar after a 12-year absence in the hopes of lifting less-than-stellar sales, reports CNN Money.

McDonald’s CEO Steve Eastbrook says the fast-food chain is looking to change its image into a modern burger company with higher-quality food, according to the report.

The slimmer, real-life version of the character who steals burgers from Ronald McDonald came out to mixed reviews, with some calling him creepy and not kid-friendly, reports CNN Money.
