On the map, areas shaded light green are at risk of flooding during a Category 1 hurricane. Areas shaded dark green are at risk of flooding during a Category 2 storm. Yellow shaded areas show inundation in a Category 3 hurricane, and the purple shaded areas show anticipated flooding in a Category 4 storm.
You can also use the map to find your nearest shelter. Fairfields official shelters are: Black Rock Congregational Church, Dwight Elementary School, Fairfield Fire Station No. 2 (600 Jennings Road), Fairfield Warde High School, Fairfield Ludlowe High School, Fairfield Woods Middle School, First Presbyterian Church, Holy Family Church and School, Notre Dame High School and St. Pius X Church and school.
