A 43-year-old man has been arrested for causing a disturbance at a Fairfield County home.
Akida McKnight, of Stratford, was arrested following a disturbance at a Westport home on Saturday, Feb. 8, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso.
When police arrived on the scene, the victim told them she had returned to her home to find McKnight waiting in the driveway.
She alleged that a verbal argument took place between and ended with McKnight striking her in the head, Prezioso said.
When she told him she was calling the police, McKnight left the area, he added.
Police later made contact with McKnight who denied the allegations but did admit to traveling to the victim's home.
Officers applied for a warrant which was granted and McKnight turned himself in at police headquarters on Wednesday, Feb. 12, Prezioso said.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and released after post a $2,500 bond.
