Local Democrats Honor Fairfield Woman With Sullivan Award

FAIRFIELD, Conn.-- Democrats of Fairfield will honor Catherine Albin with the John J. Sullivan Public Service Award Sept. 29 at the Fairfield Museum and History Center.

The Sullivan Award is given annually to a Democrat who has served the party and community with distinction encompassing community service and sustained political activity and leadership.

The ceremony will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. The Fairfield Museum and History Center is at 370 Beach Road.

Albin began working for local government as a registrar of voters in Hebron. Since moving to Fairfield, she has been active with numerous endeavors, including the Downtown Revitalization Committee and was chair of Burr Garden Advisory Committee.
