Himes’ first stop will be at the Mini Maker Faire at the Westport Library Saturday. The event celebrates the arts and engineering, and features craft workshops, demonstrations and do-it-yourself kits. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Himes is scheduled to be on hand viewing the exhibits at about 10:15 a.m.
From there the Congressman will travel to Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration at Fairfield Warde High School. There Himes will join State Sen. John McKinney and State Reps. Brenda Kupchick, Kim Fawcett and Tony Hwang in a question-and-answer session with members of the community on environmental issues. The forum is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m.
