Hundreds Lose Power Statewide Amid Windy Conditions, Falling Tree Limbs

More than 250 Connecticut residents were left in the dark as whipping winds felled power lines and sent branches and tree limbs falling.

Eversource was reporting that as of 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 256 of their 1,274,000 customers were reporting outages, including several in Fairfield County. The utility company listed downed tree limbs as the cause for the temporary outages.

Outages were reported in Greenwich (46); Killingly (two); Middletown (61); Putnam; Thompson (46) and Willington (120). All power is expected to be restored before 12:30 p.m.
