FAIRFIELD, Conn. A homeless man was arrested twice Thursday following incidents at Fairfields Sullivan-McKinney Elder Housing. Robert Bell, 68, was charged with a breach of the peace both times, and trespassing on the second occasion, police say.
Bell, a former resident of the complex, arrived Thursday morning demanding to be let in, police say. He got into an argument with the property manager because she would not let him into his old room, and reportedly began yelling and shaking his cane at her. He was issued a misdemeanor summons and warned not to return, according to police reports.
Bell came back to the Meadowbrook Road building later that day. He again began yelling at staff, asking to be let inside, police say. This time he was taken into police custody and held on a $2,500 bond. He was taken to court Friday morning for arraignment.
