Heavy Rain, Storms Moving Into Fairfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Storms are heading into Fairfield County starting Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a chance of showers overnight, mainly after 3 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible, except for higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Lows will be around 66. Chance of rain is 70 percent.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm will continue through the area Tuesday, with some storms producing heavy rain. High will be near 77. Chance of rain is 100 percent, with new rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.  

Showers are likely with a possible thunderstorm before midnight Tuesday night, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 3 a.m. Tuesday’s low will be around 65. Chance of rain is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible, except for higher amounts during thunderstorms.
