Rain will fall across the region Thursday for most of the day. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid-50s with a near 100 percent chance of precipitation. Thunderstorms are possible overnight with a low of about 45 degrees.

Cloudy skies will remain Friday, with a slight chance of showers in the early morning. Winds will pick up as well, but they aren't expected to be as troublesome as the windstorm that knocked out power to thousands last week. High temperatures are expected to be in the low 50s with wind gusts of up to 31 mph.

Skies will clear by Saturday with high temperatures around 48 and much calmer winds.
