Former Fairfield Resident Jacouzzi Dies at 92

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Mildred T. Jacouzzi, 92, of Auburndale, Fla. and formerly of Fairfield died April 1, 2012 in Winter Haven, Fla. with family at her side.  

She was born March 7, 1920 in Bridgeport to the late Rocco and Rose Marie Jacouzzi. For most of her life Jacouzzi was at 2180 Kings Highway in Fairfield. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk at McKesson and Robbins Corp. for the ordering and billing departments. 

Jacouzzi is survived by her nephew Carol (Martha) Coppola, with whom she lived with the last six years of her life, of Harwinton, Conn., her brothers Joseph Jacouzzi of Fairfield and Rocco Jacouzzi of Bethel as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Coppola and her brothers Angelo, Anthony and Louis Jacouzzi. 

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home in Fairfield Center. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
