FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – A fire warning has been issued for Fairfield County by the National Weather Service starting Friday.

The growth and spread of fires may be enhanced by west wind gusting up to 20 to 30 mph and humidity levels dropping between 20 and 30 percent. 

The warning is in effect from Friday through Wednesday, May 27.
