FAIRFIELD, Conn. A Fairfield Beach Road resident woke up Thursday morning to find a man in the act of burglarizing her home. The intruder escaped, however, and police are investigating.
The resident told police that she went downstairs at around 5:15 a.m. to find a man dressed in dark clothing. When the woman screamed, the man left through the homes back door onto the beach. Before leaving, he took various pieces of electronics and personal items.
The man was described as white, about 6-feet-2, with a medium build and clean-shaven. He was wearing a black ski mask, dark sweater and dark pants. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Fairfield Police at 203-254-4800.
