"We need to be able to reach our community in case of an emergency," First Selectman Michael Tetreau said. "Our number one priority has always been to keep our citizens safe. The only way to do that is to get them better prepared and the best way to be prepared is to be informed using the CodeRED system."

To make sure you're registered in the CodeRED system residents can click on the CodeRED icon on the town website here, and can either sign up or update the contact information. For residents with out internet access, they can call the town at 203.254.4830 to sign up.

Residents are also able to sign up for general alerts in addition to emergency alerts.
