Fairfield Presents Affordable Housing Report At Workshop

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield's Affordable Housing Committee is welcoming comments from the public as it presents its preliminary report, "Diversifying Our Housing Portfolio," at a public workshop.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 10, at the Board of Education Building, 501 Kings Highway, Fairfield.

A copy of the report can be viewed or downloaded here at the town website.

This document help the town's Plan and Zoning Commission decide how affordable housing should be incorporated into the Town's Master plan and how the TPZ should react to proposals as they are made. The plan could have an affect both the long-term desirability and the affordability of Fairfield.

Once finalized, the updated Affordable Housing Plan will be presented to the Board of Selectmen and to the Representative Town Meeting for approval.
