Fairfield Police Ask For Bottled Water Donations

FAIRFIELD, Conn.—The Fairfield Police are asking residents for donations of bottled water to distribute to those still without power and suffering from property damage in the Fairfield Beach area after Hurricane Irene. Some homes in those areas may have to wait days until their utilities are fully restored.

Individuals interested in making donations can drop off their gifts at the Fairfield Police Department’s headquarters at 100 Reef Road. To make delivery easier, the police are asking for gallon jugs or individually-sized bottles in cases only. Store owners or managers who wish to make a donation can arrange to have the Fairfield Police pick up their supplies by calling 203-259-4808.
