Arthur "Art" Dean Reinhart, a Fairfield resident who works as a real estate broker in Westport, has been reported missing by his family, published reports say.
Reinhart, 50, was last seen by his brother, Bob Reinhart, on March 22 in Lexington, N.C., before he left to return to his home in Fairfield. Arthur was reportedly last heard from on April 2 in an email sent from Provincetown, Mass.
Bob Reinhart reported his brother missing Tuesday. On Wednesday, police in Portsmouth, N.H., found Arthur's Jeep parked and locked in a commuter lot. His luggage, wallet and other personal belongings were found inside the car, police say.
"It is unclear as to why Mr. Reinhart's vehicle was found in Portsmouth," police Lt. Michael Maloney is quoted as saying in The Courant. Maloney added that the car shows no signs foul play.
Arthur is described as is 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, with short salt-and-pepper hair and brown eyes. Portsmouth police ask that anyone with information call 603-436-2145. Anonymous tips may be left with Seacoast Crime Stoppers at 603-431-1199.
