Fairfield Man Faces Double Trouble

A call to Fairfield Police was interrupted Tuesday, but it did not matter. Police knew where to go – a house they had visited a day earlier. Christopher Davies, 20, of Oakwood Drive was arrested twice in the past two days, both times for domestic disputes.

Police gave this account of the two incidents. The first occurred Sunday morning. Davies took his girlfriend to a party in Bridgeport the night before, and they returned to his home. While she was asleep, the girl told police,  Davies became enraged over a text message on her cell phone. She said Davies grabbed her, scratching her face.

Davies’s grandfather separated them,  but Davies threatened to kill the girl as they got into his car. She  called police when she got home . They discovered bruises on her head and shoulder and scratches on her face. Police applied for a warrant charging Davies Monday with third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, a breach of peace and unlawful restraint.

Davies was arrested again Tuesday morning over an argument with his mother and grandfather. According to his mother, Davies began arguing because they asked him to move his car. During the argument, he broke a section of the fence bordering their yard. When the mother called police to report the incident, he cut the phone wire and continued arguing.

Police arrested Davies just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday for disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and interfering with an emergency call. After expressing thoughts about  suicide, he was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital for observation. Davies was to appear in court Wednesday, Dec. 15, and could not be reached for comment.
