FAIRFIELD, Conn. A Fairfield man has been charged with third-degree assault in connection with an attack on his roommate last month. Dengpeng Wu, 24, of Andrassi Avenue was arrested over the weekend.
The roommate reported the incident March 23. He said that he was struck in the face during an argument. The man had bruises and a small laceration on his face, according to police reports. Wu was not on the scene when police arrived.
Fairfield Police investigators filed for an arrest warrant for Wu last week. He turned himself in to police after learning of the warrant. Wu was released on a $5,000 bond and is due in court Monday.

Two commercial refrigerators were reported stolen from Sams Bar and Grill on Kings Highway Saturday morning. The appliances had benn stored outside in the rear of the restaurant the night before. A witness told police that two white men in their 50s loaded two stainless steel refrigerators into a dark blue, older-model Ford pickup truck.
