FAIRFIELD, Conn. A Fairfield has been charged in the abuse of his 94-year-old mother, police said. James Borona, 71, has been accused of beating the woman in the home they share on Jeniford Road, police said.
Fairfield Police say they began investigating Borona after receiving complaints from his brother. Officers said they saw bruises on the womans arms during their investigation, and filed a warrant for Boronas arrest. He was brought into police custody Wednesday afternoon.
Borona was charged Wednesday with third-degree abuse of an elderly person and third-degree assault. He was held on a $5,000 bond, and is due in court Thursday morning.
