State Representatives Brenda Kupchick, Laura Devlin, Dave Rutigliano, Ben McGorty, Cristin McCarthy-Vahey along with with State Senators Tony Hwang and Marilyn Moore will host "A Community Discussion On Connecticut’s Opiate Addiction Crisis" at Sacred Heart University.
Residents are invited to attend the event that will include the state legislative delegation, community leaders, law enforcement, mental health professionals for a discussion on state's growing opiate addiction crisis.
Come to learn, ask questions and offer solutions on the ways to combat this growing epidemic.
The community discussion will consist of the following panel: Connecticut Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services Commissioner Miriam Delphin-Rittmon; Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst; Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetra; Fairfield Police Chief Gary McNamara; Trumbull Police Chief Michael Lombardo; Trumbull EMS Chief Joseph Laucell, and HeroinKillCT & Connecticut Heroin Task Force co-founder Theresa Doonan.
The talk will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sacred Heart University is located at 5151 Park Ave.
