Salvatore Perry, 45, of Shelton, has been sentenced to 30 days in prison, followed by three years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty in Bridgeport district court to one count of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of oxycodone in the area last year.

Between September 2017 and November last year, undercover law enforcement officers made five controlled purchases of 30mh oxycodone pills from Perry, selling between 30 and 60 pills each time.

U.S. Attorney John Durham said that Perry obtained the oxycodone from at least two others who had legitimate prescriptions for the drugs.

Perry was arrested on Dec. 4, 2018, at which point, investigators seized oxycodone pills, and Perry’s cell phone, which Durham said contained evidence of the drug sales.

Perry remains released on a $250,000 bond. He has been ordered to report to prison on Friday, Feb. 7. He had faced up to 20 years in prison on the charge.
