FAIRIFELD, Conn. A Fairfield Cab Co. driver was arrested Thursday for a sexual assault committed on a passenger in 2010, police say. Bruce Northrop, 42, of Old Mill Hill Road turned himself in on a warrant at Fairfield Police Headquarters Thursday afternoon.
Police say a female customer reported being sexually assaulted last year after calling Fairfield Cab for a ride. An investigation by Det. Kerry Dalling identified Northrup as the suspect. Police did not release more details about the case.
Police charged Northrup Thursday with second-degree sexual assault. He was held on a $500,000 bond and not released as of Thursday night.
