A Superior Court judge in Bridgeport approved accelerated rehabilitation Wednesday for James Berrien, 64, of Westport, who police said scared the elementary school students on the bus, NBC Connecticut said.
The charges of breach of peace and disorderly conduct charges will be erased in six months if Berrien stays out of trouble, NBC Connecticut said.
Berrien turned himself in to Fairfield police Jan. 31 in connection with the incident just before 4 p.m. Dec. 21 with a First Student bus driver, police said.

The incident occurred on Morehouse Lane in the area of Cedar Road, the bus driver and Berrien had a disagreement at a stop sign, police said.
Berrien then followed the school bus, got out of his vehicle and yelled at the school bus driver as he was letting students off the bus, police said.
Parents of students awaiting their children witnessed the interaction and intervened, police said.
Follow-up investigation from the Fairfield Police School Safety Unit resulted in a judge signing an arrest warrant for Berrien, police said.
Berrien was president and publisher of Forbes Magazine Group from 1998 to 2008.
